LET'S TALK fit
There is no universal international sizing system.
Every brand interprets fit differently, which is why a size label alone rarely tells the full story — especially when shopping globally. Swimwear magnifies this challenge, as it sits close to the body and must work across height, torso length, bust volume, hip shape, and personal comfort preferences.
“Ataya designs swimwear around proportion, balance, and movement — not a single, rigid size standard.”
Two women may wear the same size through the rib cage and back, yet experience a completely different fit depending on bust volume. A petite frame can carry either a fuller or a minimal cup, and that difference dramatically affects how a bikini top supports, shapes, and sits on the body.
Fit Is More Than a Number
Women around the world have beautifully diverse body shapes and proportions. Height, torso length, leg length, bust structure, and hip shape vary significantly across regions — and even more so from person to person.
Two women can share the same measurements and still experience a completely different fit.
That’s why Ataya focuses on:
• Where swimwear actually sits on the body (such as the high hip rather than the natural waist)
• Volume and shape, not just circumference
• Movement and comfort, not just static measurements
• Personal preference — whether you like a secure, sculpted feel or a more relaxed fit
why Ataya fits differently
Ataya is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing each woman to fine-tune her fit rather than compromise.
Our design approach includes:
• Adjustable elements on as many styles as possible, allowing changes in length and width
Two one-piece fit options:
◦ A standard torso length with balanced coverage
◦ A longer torso length with fuller bum coverage
Bikini bottoms offered in multiple cuts:
◦ Cheeky to medium coverage
◦ Standard full coverage
◦ Extra full coverage
Two-piece styles also allow easy size mixing — for example, a smaller top with a fuller bottom — so your swimwear works with your body, not against it.

Choosing Your Best Size
Ataya’s size chart is designed as a guide, not a rule. Due to the brand’s refined cuts and supportive construction, some customers may prefer to size up for their most comfortable and confident fit — particularly in one-piece styles.
When choosing your size, consider:
• Your total height and torso length
• Bust volume and cup preference
• High-hip measurement (especially for bikini bottoms)
• Bum shape and coverage preference
• How you like your swimwear to feel on the body
The Ataya Philosophy
Fit is personal. Confidence is individual. Beauty is not standardised.
Ataya believes the best swimwear fit is the one that makes you feel secure, comfortable, and effortlessly confident — whether poolside or seaside.
Use our size chart as your starting point, explore our adjustable designs, and choose the fit that feels most like you.
